A public furniture opening will be held on June 11 as part of the Krenych Sunday garden party.
Everyone is welcome to the workshops for making furniture for the park. The furniture will be made under the guidance of Nadežda Sassina, a master’s student in architecture and urban planning at the Estonian Academy of Art, and local volunteers. All constructed outdoor furniture will remain in front of the Narva Art Residency for public use.
The furniture will be made from recycled wood (construction waste, old pallets). Participants will be informed about the importance and possibilities of recycling wood, tools, and will be able to try their hand at building street furniture.
Construction will take place in front of the Narva Art Residency daily from 10:00 to 20:00. The event is free and people of all ages are invited. It is not necessary to be there all day. Come even for one hour! Any help will be welcome.
IMPORTANT!
If you have any tools (hand saw, tape measure, cordless drill, etc.) or wood scraps to dispose of at home/outdoor, please bring them with you. Working gloves are also recommended because working with untreated wood.
ON JUNE 9, WE WILL CELEBRATE THE END OF WORK WITH A SAUNA PARTY!!!
