As part of the Autumn Capital programme, NART presents a new audio tour of Kreenholm.
Narva Art Residency is glad to announce a new soundwalk “Echoes of Kreenholm”, which premiered at Narva Opera Days program. Now we would like to invite Narvians, visitors of the city and just people who are curious about the history of Kreenholm to also experience it. The tours are free, but require registration.
“Echoes of Kreenholm” is a journey through the former Kreenholm Manufactury, where history unfolds through sounds, voices and memories. The tour takes you through more than 150 years of Kreenholm’s history – from the founding of the manufacture and the lives of its first workers to strikes, the Soviet era, the factory’s heyday and bankruptcy, and the site’s new life today.
The soundwalk was created by Danish composer Nicklas Vittrup Steffensen with the support of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia (Eesti Kultuurkapital).
NART will organise several tours this autumn, it will be available in Estonian and Russian languages:
9.10. – 16:00-17:00
10.10. – 11:00-12:00
10.10. – 14:00-15:00
