Beehive installation at Kreenholm: a talk and honey tasting
On Saturday, 19 September, Narva Art Residency invites to visit the installation “Piirimesi” at Kreenholm. It was first presented in May during the “Performing Landscapes Nordic/Baltic Network” seminar, curated by Riina Õun, initiated by the Copenhagen-based Metropolis residency programme.
Created by NART coordinator Gleb Kuznetsov, the installation of beehives is located right next to the Estonian-Russian border at the Kreenholm manufactory. Now that the summer season is over, we have collected honey and would like to share it with you.
Alongside the tasting, we invite you to join a conversation about borders. Many NART residents explore and work with questions of borders, boundaries and borderlands. In 2027, we will host 5 Nordic-Baltic artists who will continue to explore the theme.
The event starts at NART (Joala,18) on 19.09 at 16:00. The event is free, but registration is required, as spots are limited https://forms.gle/SFNfsD1hazW7q3Ji6
