Audio journey “Echoes of Kreenholm” and art tours during Narva Opera Days

Narva Opera Days are coming soon, during the festival NART will offer several unique guided tours. On 14 and 15 August, as part of the opera festival, Narva Art Residency will offer the residents of Narva and the city’s visitors two new tours on the territory of the Kreenholm Manufacturing Company.

You will embark on an immersive audio journey where history comes alive through sound. Put on your headphones and hear the rush of water, the hum of textile machines, the voices of workers, a church choir, the dam siren, and the echoes of empty factory halls. In the course of an hour and a half, you will experience more than 150 years of Kreenholm’s history—from the founding of what was once the world’s largest textile manufactory to its new life today.

We will also offer an art tour – a guided walk in Kreenholm about NART’s projects since 2015, including installations, exhibitions, and performances. It is a wonderful opportunity to see how a former industrial site has been transformed into a space for contemporary art.

Echoes of Kreenholm will be available in Russian and Estonian, while the art tour will be offered in Russian and English.
