Narva Art Residency is glad to announce that Ukrainian artist Vitalii Shupliak has been selected for NAIR 2026, Narva public space installation residency.
Shupliak will create a modular metal lighting installation titled “Firewall” at the intersection of Rahu street and Kangelaste avenue in Pähklimäe, at the border between the city and the forest. The reflective surfaces do not mirror the world in detail and exactly. They distort and fragment it, and therefore create a sense of constant transformation.
NAIR is organised for the third time by Narva Art Residency (NART) in partnership with the Narva City Department of Architecture and Urban Planning (ALPA). The project is supported by the City of Narva, the Estonian Ministry of Culture, and the Estonian Cultural Endowment.
