On 6 September, we celebrated the end of the Narva Venice Embassy season with a theme day dedicated to dugout canoes. The event featured a very full and joyful programme. At midday, Jaan Keerd and Põvvat Kama kicked things off with a lecture. On the city stage of the festival, Latvian artist German Superfin gave a truly memorable performance! In the large tent of the Estonian Green Movement, there was a radio show recording and a drawing workshop led by our art resident Helena Pass. In the afternoon, visitors had the chance to go on dugout canoe rides. Throughout the day, Aleksandr Nesterenko and his friends were by the canals, offering several hundred visitors the chance to experience Kulgu on motorboats and canoes. Big thanks for this fantastic event go to Embassy project manager Saara Mildeberg and NART’s good friend Jelena Tšekulajeva. Photos by Kathy Arizona, Juri Vsivtsev and Alla Matrosova.
