Location: NART (Narva Art Residency, Joala 18)
Languages: English, Estonian, Russian or Ukrainian
Price: free (the number of availabilities is limited)

▶︎ The number of available workshops is limited. Up to three classes from one school are welcome.

The class is run by artist JARYNA ILO. Through a hands-on activity, participants learn how to mix all of the other colours from the three primary colours. The focus will be on the relationship between colours and emotions and how mixing colours affects us emotionally. The workshop allows one to understand and express one’s emotions. Feelings and colours meet on a subconscious level and participants learn more about themselves in the process.

We recommend choosing clothing suitable for painting, so that you don’t have to worry about acrylic paint staining your clothes.

We ask the accompanying teachers to assist the artist by handing out supplies, helping maintain order in the room, and actively participating in discussions with the students.

Jarõna Ilo is an Estonian artist of Ukrainian origin. Ilo has taught drawing at the Estonian Academy of Arts, the Old Town Education College, the Viljandi Culture Academy and the Australian National University in Canberra. Since 2017 she has conducted art therapy workshops in Ukraine, which have primarily benefited children, but also teachers and school psychologists.
