Training sessions of the art education platform “Creative Connections” took place at NART

Over the past few months, NART has held three free adult training courses as part of the “Voices Across the Borders” collaboration project between the Goethe Institute, NART, and the art education platform “Creative Connections

In October, artist Jarõna Ilo conducted a training course on color theory and color therapy. In early November, a training course on supporting children’s and young people’s independent projects was conducted by designer and creative researcher Eva Liisa Kubinyi and art curator Hanna-Liis Kont. On November 28, a practical workshop on creative therapy methods and techniques for supporting children’s social well-being, creative self-expression, and emotional awareness was held, led by creative therapist Mariliis Tähepõld.

The training was attended by teachers from schools, kindergartens, and hobby groups in Ida-Viru County, youth workers, and social pedagogues—people who work with children and young people on a daily basis. The participants showed great interest and enthusiasm in the practical activities and gave positive feedback to the trainers. Quite a few teachers said that they could immediately apply the training experience they had just gained in their lessons.

The training was supported by the German Foreign Ministry.
