On September 27, NART presents a Mixed-Media Installation by Eva Fomitski & ANTUUM. Right after the opening, a live performance by ANTUUM will take place inside the abandoned factory halls of Kreenholm.
The artist duo Eva Fomitski and Antuum, originally from Ukraine and now based in Germany. Eva is an artist and curator whose main mediums are photography, installation, and video. Antuum is an sound artist whose creative practice focuses on sound sculptures, kinetic installations, and digital soundscapes
Built from found artifacts in Narva and using water from the Narva River as its core material, the installation links old superstitions with contemporary fears and nostalgic memories.
The structure rises on columns made from textile spools, referencing the monumental architecture of Kreenholm and its legacy. The voices of Narva’s residents will resonate through water, projecting patterns across the walls and transforming collected voices into a ritualistic act.
