Kulgu waterscapes workshop and boat tour performance

Kulgu waterscapes workshop and boat tour performance

Hildegard Reimann and Javier Mars, Narva Venice Embassy artists-in-residence, invite locals and visitors to Kulgu! Participation is free of charge, open to people of all ages, and will feature thematic snacks.

Hildegard, who is originally from Tartu, will hold a workshop on the aquatic environment. Together with her, participants will craft animal masks which are inspired by the species present in Kulgu, and tell stories about the local nature and get to know the underwater ecosystems. The masks will be used on the Kulgu nature tour taking place on August 10th under the guidance of the biologist Kaarin Hein (details TBA).

At the same time, the Spanish artist Javier Mars will guide a performative waterscape tour through Kulgu. Step into a site-specific journey that combines performance, installation, soundscapes and boat rides, exploring aquatic stories that blur the line between fact and folklore. The performance will be recorded and filmed.

Both events start from the Narva Venice Embassy (Kulgu sadam 3 / Remmelga 8) at 6 PM, see location on the map
