Korean artist Bomi Son invites children and all those interested to learn how to make the Korean dish kimbap. For children, preparing kimbap is a playful activity that develops fine motor skills and nurtures curiosity about food and other cultures.

Artist Bomi wishes to share Korean culinary culture, as recipes reflect the way of life of her people. Cooking brings people together.
Kimbap is a traditional Korean dish that can be prepared with a variety of fillings. Even during difficult times (the Japanese occupation and the world wars), kimbap remained an important part of Korean identity. After independence, it became a symbol of Korean cuisine. The artist will speak more about the history of kimbap. Perhaps this workshop will even give birth to a unique ‘Narva’s Kimbap’ made with ingredients exclusive to Narva.
Main ingredients of kimbap are cooked rice, seaweed, sesame oil, salt, soy sauce. The artist will prepare danmuji (pickled radish), carrots, eggs, cucumbers, and sausage as the fillings for the kimbap. Each participant will prepare two kimbap rolls.
▶︎ Workshop schedule: October 11, 10:30–12:00 and 13:00–14:30 (each workshop is limited to 10 participants).
Workshop language: English (with interpretation if needed)
NB! Individuals with sesame allergies are not permitted to participate.
