On 29 February at 18:00 NART will host a joint pop-up exhibition of Masha Pryven and Narva youth.
Ukrainian-German artist and photographer Masha Pryven invited young Narvatians to create experimental art books of their home city Narva. They worked for 1.5 months with found materials and discovered new ways of seeing their environment.
The project consisted of six seminars, where they explored how it feels to live where they live. What are their favourite spots in Narva and where do they feel uncomfortable? Is it a town of childhood memories or a town of political tensions? If you were to create your book without words, but just objects that were called NARVA, what would it look like?
All those answers and the art book installation will be presented at a pop-up exhibition at NART!
