A sports drama inspired by real-life events about the journey of Kalev’s basketball team to win the last championship of the collapsing Soviet Union in 1991. The difficult struggle of basketball players with their fellow countrymen, merciless opponents and the internal morale of the team. The protagonists are Gert Kullamäe, a young player who is proving himself, passionate captain Aivar Kuusmaa and strict, team-oriented head coach Jaak Salumets.
This is the last screening of Estonian films this spring season. After that, the Amalie cinema goes to summer vacation. The film screenings were supported by the P2P program of the British Council.
