Silver Tsäko | “Artists Are Present” (estonia)

03.11 – 07.11.2025

Silver Tsäko is a young sculptor. His artistic practice deals with themes of longing, the passage of time, grief and youth culture through a queer lens. Taking inspiration from classical sculpture, videogames, soviet brutalist architecture and different subcultures, he wishes to create moments of recognition – tying complex and uncomfortable subjects to shared experiences and cultural anchors. Material experimentation and hands-on making are central to Silver’s process. He’s always open to things going “wrong,” because that allows works to develop their own autonomy. Silver graduated from the Pallas University of Applied Sciences sculpture department in 2025 and has taken part in different projects and studied abroad in Naples, Italy for one semester as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

The aim of the school-based art residencies “Artists Are Present” program is to increase the accessibility and presence of contemporary art in Narva. The project is supported by the British Council.
