Margaret Tilk (1999) is a freelance artist-researcher and editor at the online magazine Feministeerium. Born in Estonia and raised in Finland, she has studied cultural sociology at KU Leuven in Belgium (MSc), social design at the Estonian Academy of Arts (MA) and semiotics at the University of Tartu (BA). Her interests include the interweaving of sociology and art, posthumanist feminism, new materialist theory and the search for hope without forgeting the crises that shape the present. Margaret is a member of The Young Contemporary Art Association of Estonia (ENKKL) and has previously been a member of Paide Theatre and the Opinion Festival (Arvamusfestival). “Varivolikogu”, created as part of Paide Theatre, received the Estonian Theatre Association board award in 2022.

During her residency, Margaret was exploring the relations between quantum mechanics, body-territory (cuerpo-territorio), vital materialism and Narva. She was also looking for ways to bring these relations to a stage.
