LOORA KAUBI | “Artists Are Present” (estonia)
03.11 – 07.11.2025
Loora Kaubi is an artist working in Tallinn. Her work explores themes of sleep, personal and collective memory and fatigue. Often using material prone to decay, her practice evokes a sense of the past as a burden, with hibernation as a metaphor offering possible solace from it. Loora is interested in unpleasant, uncomfortable, and ominous visual or sensory forms, characters and places. Kaubi holds a MA in Fine Arts from LUCA School Of Arts, a BA from Estonian Academy of Arts, has completed a portion of her studies in Vienna Academy of Arts and did an internship in Mexico City.
The aim of the school-based art residencies “Artists Are Present” program is to increase the accessibility and presence of contemporary art in Narva. The project is supported by the British Council.
