“Focusing on self-taught and learned methods of plant-dyeing, during the residency, I would like to curate, seed, and care for a bed of plants, used for textile printing and dyeing. With the focus on materiality, locality and time, I wish to indulge in the processes of preparing, planning, seeding, planting, and caring. Each takes different lengths of time, allowing space for growth while simply waiting.”
