Hildegard Reimann ⎜Venice (Estonia)

Hildegard is a cultural researcher and artist from Tartu who likes to find playful approaches to daily life and work. She is interested in people’s relationships with nature and other species, how nature and culture intertwine in cities. She observes, draws, cuts, glues, chats and likes to get her hands dirty in the process. She has curated exhibitions about urban nature, facilitated creative nature tours and collage workshops.

In Narva, her plan is to befriend the local flora and fauna. As a final project, she wants to create space for noticing and learning about local nature and share its stories. The workshop participants will observe nature in many possible ways, getting to know new species as well as observing, listening, touching, telling stories, drawing and crafting. Since the residency venue is connected to the channel system, the focus will be on water life.
